- 84% of practitioners have a Google rating higher than 4/5
- 58% have a rating between 4.6/5 and 5/5
- The average rating is 4.5/5

What to make of these results?
Having many positive reviews is essential for maintaining a good online reputation. Indeed, it is estimated that 8 out of 10 patients read reviews before consulting a doctor! Plastic surgeons have clearly embraced this practice very well.
With a rating higher than 4/5 for the majority of them, it’s clear that they are very well-rated on Google! Furthermore, there’s good engagement from patients in leaving reviews for the practitioner or establishment. Indeed, the majority of them have more than 10 reviews on their Google page.
Unlike our previous studies on dentists, dermatologists, and ophthalmologists, we note that plastic surgeons benefit from a good online image. Also, the quality of care is much better represented on Google than for the specialties mentioned. This could be explained by a difference in how they communicate with clients.
Furthermore, the consideration of Google reviews and ratings has been ingrained in the practices of plastic surgeons for longer than in other specialties. So, to improve your online communication and reputation, give your patients a voice!
